What is stored on your device, and what you can turn off.
AutoAid saves your vehicles, diagnoses, quote checks and postcode in your browser's local storage so the app works when you come back. This never leaves your device, is not a tracking cookie and cannot be switched off without losing your saved reports — you can clear it any time by deleting a report or clearing site data in your browser.
AutoAid is free to use. When advertising is switched on, Google AdSense may set cookies to measure and select adverts. These are only set after you press Accept on the cookie banner. Declining keeps every feature of the app fully working — you simply see no adverts.
Google's own explanation of how it uses advertising data is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently.
Some links to garages, parts suppliers or breakdown cover may earn AutoAid a commission. These are always labelled, never affect your diagnosis or cost guide, and cost you nothing extra.
